The DPP's inaugural virtual hackathon has now completed, with 3 successful teams delivering valuable solutions built around the IMF Media Management API.
The teams were given 4 weeks to develop their solutions, with help from Amazon Web Services architects and Bruce Devlin, the original author of the API.
The teams made it through and submitted working projects were:
- Google
- imf-go implements IMF-API on Google storage
- imf-admanager expands IMF-API to implement a full delivery system for Google Ad-Manager
- Ownzones
- Proof-of-Concept automation to auto-generate SDKs based on the API definition in Typescript/Node.js, C#/.NET and Python
- Proof-of-Concept automation to auto-generate SDKs based on the API definition in Typescript/Node.js, C#/.NET and Python
- Media-IO
- Additions to IMF-API such as Unit Tests, CI hooks, Docker integration, Filtering by file-type or content-kind, search linked assets etc.
The winner was Media-IO, with the judges (Bruce Devlin of MrMXF, Niall Duffy of AWS, and our own Rowan de Pomerai) praising developer Marc-Antoine's practical expansion of the API to offer greater benefits to more users.
